3Days Uganda Gorilla Safari

Day 01: Gorilla Forest Camp – Full Board

Have breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest in south Western Uganda. Stop at the equator for photographs and continue to Mbarara where you will have another stop for lunch, reach Bwindi by late afternoon. In the evening you may relax at the lodge or go for a community walk where you will be entertained in some of the cultural dance of the Batwa community. Later either relax for tomorrow’s day-long gorilla trekking or take a self-guided walk around the Hotel.

Day 02: Gorilla Forest Camp – Full Board

After an early breakfast at 5.30am, depart to the park headquarters in a private 4X4 car; proceed for briefing by the park ranger guides before starting the Gorilla trek in the steep densely forested and beautiful landscape of Bwindi Impenetrable forest - the vegetation here is ever green and very thick due to the frequent rains throughout the year. The climax of the adventure is reached when you get close to gian but very gentle Mountain gorillas; a mature gorilla weighs more than 80Kgs and eats over 30Kgs of vegetation a day. Watching Gorillas feed, rest, mothers with babies and the acrobatic youths playing about is a very touching wildlife expwerience; probably rated the best wildlife experience Worldwide, Picnic lunch shall be enjoyed en-route. The time taken searching these humble Giant apes is unpredictable, however, it ranges between 2-9 hours depending on their movement. Tracking goes through steep rocks climbing up and down before you find Gorillas Camouflaged in thick vegetation. However, the thrill of encountering these giant primates erases the poor memories you went through in trying to find them.

Day 03: Departure

After these extra-ordinary experiences we have to go back to Kampala. Have breakfast and hit the road to Kampala with lots of scenic viewing enroute. You will have a stop in any of the districts for lunch to reach Kampala in the evening for your outbound flight back home.
